History

The Beginning

1st project which was under taken was of 120 town houses in London Place in Burnaby (1975), BC, Canada.

Diversification

After that company undertook various projects, It also diversified operations while still contracting in Residential, Institutional and industrial markets, the company increased its technical base to serve clients with other forms of contract services. Principal activity in this area was through the promotion of construction management services whereby Canadian star construction under took direction of the entire construction process to better meet time, cost and quality objectives of clients.

MOU signed between Canadian Star & Govt. of Pakistan

Canadian Star to construct 100,000 houses

Islamabad – September 23, 2008

Two Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) were signed here today in the ministry of housing and works between the Government and German IMPRO and Canadian Star Development Corporation for the construction of two lac houses/flats in the major cities of Pakistan under the Prime Minister's Housing Scheme.

Under the agreement, both the companies would invest $500 million in the first phase and they intend to invest Euro two billion.

Managing Director Pakistan Housing Authority (PHA) Raja Mohammad Abbas and Chief Executive of the German and Canadian companies signed the MoUs. Federal Minister for Housing and Works Rahmatullah Kakar and Joint Secretary Fakhar Zaman also attended the ceremony.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister for Housing and Works said that there existed a lot of opportunities for local and foreign investors in the up-coming mega housing projects and the Government would encourage and facilitate them in this regard. He said the construction of one million houses annually under the Prime Minister's Housing for All programme would provide shelter to the needy, poor, government servants and the general public.

Mr. Rahmatullah Kakar said that the signing of MoUs with the German and Canadian companies would benefit the country by learning from each other's experiences in the vital sector of the economy.
